My Emepelle Skincare Review. For the last eight weeks I have been using the new Emepelle Skincare range which includes a night cream and a day serum and have to say that I am delighted with the results.
Emepelle is a breakthrough innovation for skin affected by menopause. It is the first and only skin care range to feature MEP Technology, clinically proven to safely target the root cause of accelerated collagen loss and skin ageing due to the decline in estrogen levels.
Emepelle combines MEP with advanced cosmeceutical ingredients including retinol, peptides, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to treat skin affected by menopause like nothing else – significantly improving hydration, firmness and brightness.
Why do skin changes occur during menopause?
Hormones such as estrogen play an essential role in helping women maintain healthy, radiant and youthful looking skin. As women age, estrogen levels decline in turn accelerating skin aging. This has the greatest effect on skin leading up to, during and after menopause. The visible effects include dryness, dullness, thinning and wrinkling.
About the products
The Emepelle range includes two products- Emepelle Serum and Emepelle Night Cream. Emepelle states that ‘using just these two products will rejuvenate and restore skin affected by menopause – with no need to layer multiple products’.
The products are suitable for all skin types, however, the night cream does include retinol so if you have a sensitivity to this ingredient do take advice from a professional as retinol works by resurfacing the surface of the skin to reduce lines and wrinkles which can cause some peeling.
MY Emepelle Skincare Review
For daytime the serum is light to touch and silky. I tried it on its own under make-up and that worked fine and my make-up stayed in place. I also used the serum with my usual moisturiser on top before applying make-up and that was fine too.
Emepelle Night Cream
The night cream is rich and luxurious to maximise hydration and nourishment. I do have slightly sensitive skin so I did go through quite a bit of skin peeling but the effect after four weeks was much brighter, smoother and firmer skin and these effects are ongoing as I am into my ninth week now using the products. It comes with a little spoon so it helps to not overuse the product and the information leaflet gives you a table of usage over time.
Would I recommend these products? Yes, I would, absolutely. They are on the expensive side but they do what Emepelle states that they do. Also, after eight weeks I still have lots of product left as you only need to use both products in small amounts to get the desired effect.
You must acclimatise your skin to the night cream as skin affected by menopause can be thinner and more fragile. Emepelle recommend using the cream three times a week before gradually increasing over a few weeks.
Apply the serum in the morning to cleansed, dry skin and in the evening apply the night cream also to cleansed dry skin.
I would like to thank Emepelle for providing me with these products for review, free of charge.
